We are anticipating another great fundraising year in Central Florida, and it wouldn't be possible without the help of our amazing volunteers. We need your help to ensure that our new Event Experience at Light The Night runs flawlessly and that all the participants have the best possible evening. We are taking steps to end cancer. WE LIGHT THE NIGHT.

Set up shift is 9am-2 pm. Volunteers can work the entire shift or a portion. During set up we will need help with: (30 Volunteers)

  • Unloading a truck - note: most items will not be heavy but volunteers working 9-2 pm will be asked to be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Hanging banners on tents
  • Decorating team tents
  • Setting up registration and t-shirt tents
  • Assembling lanterns
  • Miscellaneous set up tasks


Mid- shift is 1-5 pm. We ask that volunteers work this entire shift if possible. Making sure all tents and signage are ready to go by 4:30 and assist with vendor set up. (20 Volunteers)

The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families. We work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need. When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a blood cancer diagnosis, we provide hope, compassion, education and support. Our impact is felt beyond blood cancer. The breakthrough treatments we helped advance for blood cancers are now improving the lives of people affected by many types of cancer.

Volunteers are our partners in the crusade to end cancer.

In 2017, LLS volunteers made a significant impact while selflessly dedicating their time and talent to achieve our mission. With countless ways to engage, from fundraising to providing patient support, our volunteers are changing the landscape of cancer.

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's chapter offices located in Jacksonville and Orlando were founded to serve residents who have been touched by one of the blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. The chapter serves the northern and central portion of the state which encompasses 38 counties.

  • Must be at least 16
  • Volunteers will each sign a waiver upon arrival. Any minors must be accompanied by an adult (parent or organization) to volunteer.
