Volunteer with the American Cancer Society at the Detroit Marathon. We will be helping with race gear check, where runners will drop off their race bags prior to the start of the race. Volunteers will be needed from approximately 5:00am - 10:30am on Sunday, October 21. Gear check will take place near the intersection of 3rd & Lafayette. Volunteer groups of all sizes are welcome and we are looking for approximately 20 volunteers to help. Volunteers should be at least 16 years to participate and any volunteer under the age of 18 is encouraged to be accompanied by a chaperone.
