We are in need of volunteer tutors for basic reading and English as a Second Language (ESL). We are also looking for tutors to assist in GED classes.

Mission Statement
The mission of Literacy Volunteers of Bastrop (LVB) is to enhance community members' quality of life by increasing their economic and social independence through improved English Literacy.
Description
LVB offers free tutoring services to adults in the following subject areas:
General Education Diploma (GED) preparation tutoring focuses on the following core subjects (corresponding to the GED Subject tests): math, writing, social studies, science and reading.
English as a Second Language (ESL) tutoring provided by LVB assists students fluent in a language other than English become more proficient in their English speaking, rading and writing skills.
Our free U.S. Citizenship class is designed for those individuals who wish to become United States citizens.
Tutoring in Basic Reading is designed for individuals who speak and understand English, but whose reading skills need improvement.
