EarthShare of Georgia’s 3rd Annual Fall Volunteer Day will be held again at the Browns Mill Food Forest, Atlanta's first Community Urban Food Forest, on Saturday, October 27 from 9am to 12pm. The event will bring together corporate partners and their friends and families for a day of outdoor fun and volunteerism. Partnering with Trees Atlanta, The Conservation Fund, and City of Atlanta, this year’s "Team Up to Green Up" Fall Volunteer Day will include expanding the orchard at Brown’s Mill by planting onion bulbs and fruit trees, and mulching. Other projects will include painting signs and a picnic table that will serve as a commemorative piece for this year’s event and the participating volunteers. While this is a free event for all corporate partner employees and their families, donations are encouraged and highly appreciated as they will be used for day-of supply purchases and tool rentals.
Following the Fall Volunteer Day, The Conservation Fund, Tree’s Atlanta and the City of Atlanta in partnership with EarthShare of Georgia will host the 2 nd Annual community Fall Festival. This event engages the entire Browns Mill and Southeast Atlanta community, EarthShare of Georgia corporate partners and the environmental member organizations we work year-round to support. The Fall Festival will be held from 12 to 2pm and will include arts and environmental education focused activities , as well as locally sourced-organic treats.
