It’s time for our biggest fundraising event of the year and we need volunteers to help in the following areas:
- Assist with bundling auction items (the week before the event - date TBD) - 4 to 6 volunteers
- Assist with printing auction item sheets for displays - 2 volunteers (the week before the event - date TBD)
- Registration and Silent Auction at the event - 14 trained volunteers (must take online training to process registrations on iPad ahead of time)
- Assist with setting up and decorating the event space (October 20th - the afternoon of the event) - 4 volunteers
- Setting up the auction item tables - 6 volunteers
- Setting up and manning the membership and retail booth - 2 volunteers
- VIP Registration door- 4 volunteers
- Photographer - we will supply the memory cards, you will take amazing pictures - 2 volunteers
- Runner/Assistant- helping break shifts, assist in various area- 1 volunteer
- Runner/Barback-bussing tables, keeping areas neat, assisting bartenders-4 volunteers
- Stage manager- help the event run on time, let speakers know when they are next - 1 volunteer
- Volunteer Break room Helperhousekeepingse keeping - 2 volunteers
- Stage Hand- help with lighting- 1 volunteer

Mission Statement
The mission of the Irish Cultural Center is to celebrate and promote Irish and Celtic Heritage and its influence on and partnership with other cultures. The goal of the McClelland Library is to make accessible a comprehensive collection of materials on Ireland and the Irish diaspora on the role of Irish-Americans in Arizona and the Western United States. The Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Library are divisions of the Irish Cultural & Learning Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation, and are owned and maintained by the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department.
Description
The Irish Cultural Center began in 1999 with our An Gorta Mor (A Great Hunger) memorial and have since become a more than 5,000 square foot facility, complete with our 12th century Norman replica castle built in 2012! The Center is in the process of building a cafe and retail space, and has a constant stream of events relating to Irish and Celtic culture. In 2019, the Irish Cultural Center and McClelland Library was host to the International Famine Commemoration and continues to be a symbol of Irish heritage in the South West.
