Volunteers are an essential part of what we do at Four Seasons Compassion for Life. We could not meet the needs of our community without the invaluable services provided by our Volunteers. From helping in our administrative offices, to providing respite and socialization to our patients and families, to baking homemade refreshments for our events and support groups, to maintaining our beautiful gardens at Elizabeth House, there are a variety of different ways to get involved and give back. We are the end-of-life care specialists in Western North Carolina. This is all we do, caring for you and your loved ones through the last years and months of life. We believe innovative treatment and compassionate care go hand in hand. In fact, we are among the few organizations in the country that research and develop comfort care practices and treatments. We lead clinical studies that can help improve our patients’ symptoms and, ultimately, their quality of life.
Four Seasons is nationally recognized for providing exemplary palliative and end-of-life care. We are considered by other health care organizations to be a model for best practices and regularly offer on-campus and distance learning opportunities for other medical professionals. We have pioneered therapy treatments that incorporate music, massage and even pets--all of which have made a significant difference in the lives of our patients.
This broader view of what end-of-life care can do makes us a trusted and valued resource for physicians, other health care professionals, patients and families alike.
