Do you love to sing? Talented in music? Interested in joining a faith-based music community? Come join the Asbury Chancel Choir for a wonderful opportunity to sing and lead worship!!
Asbury Traditional Music Ministry Chancel Choir and New Covenant Orchestra lead the congregation in traditional worship on a weekly basis. We strive to help others follow Christ Jesus by using our gifts and talents in music ministry.
Almost 8000 people call Asbury their church home today with an average of 2,600 people in worship. The choir and orchestra has a long history in leading the congregation in the 9:15am Sunday traditional worship service, playing challenging and fun music. We rehearse Wednesday evenings - orchestra from 6-8pm and choir from 7-9pm.
Time Commitment: Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings from 7-9pm and worship Sunday mornings (warm-up at 8:20am and service is at 9:15). Occasional Sunday rehearsals after service from 10:45am-12:30pm.Benefits: Gain experience in music and skills for future music career opportunities. We have three services each Sunday: 8 am Traditional in the Chapel, 9:15 am Traditional in the Sanctuary with choir and orchestra, and 11 am Modern in the Sanctuary.
