ORGANIZATION: Taller San Jose Hope Builders

Title:

  • Marketing and Outreach Assistant

Purpose/objective:

  • The Marketing and Outreach Assistant will assist the Marketing and Outreach Specialist with various related projects, including outreach events. The assistant will further the Hope Builders mission by promoting the Hope Builders organization to youth and community members.

Location:

  • 100 N. Harbor, Anaheim, CA
  • Outreach event locations will be discussed

Key responsibilities:

  • Data entry
  • Follow-up emails and texts
  • Outreach event hosting
  • Social media updates (campaign mgmt., content organization)
Qualifications:
  • Sophomore standing at university level
  • Within 32 credits of completing AA in Business field/ or related
  • Familiar w/ excel, word, and outlook
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Comfortable with public speaking
  • Ability to travel to outreach events (no mileage reimbursement, open to weekend outreach events)
Time commitment:
  • Time commitment will be discussed (flexible)
  • 2-3 days a week (preferred)
  • 12-15 hours a week (preferred)
  • Please be aware: Business hours are 8am-4:30pm (Outreach events may affect these hours)

Training and support:

  • Orientation to Hope Builders
  • Meeting with Marketing and Outreach specialist
  • Ongoing supervision from Volunteer Coordinator
  • Ongoing supervision from Marketing and Outreach Specialist
  • Additional help can be provided upon request

These workforce training skills are coupled with intensive job coaching activities from resume writing to job retention strategies and is reinforced with life skills instruction in financial literacy, healthy relationships, and numerous other personal development topics.
