Wildlife and plants rely heavily on the rivers and creeks that flow through Colorado. Let's help keep them safe by collecting trash with a community-wide creek clean-up! Meeting at Centennial Park, we will collect trash along Bear Creek, helping to make the creek and our environment a little cleaner! Materials and lunch will be provided. Groups are welcome. Description
We work with residents of Denver's lower income neighborhoods to improve the physical environment. We have three main program areas:
1. Building Sustainable Communities, which includes job training and environmental leadership development.
2. Brownfields and land transformations, which includes converting underutilized properties to new parks, trails and other public amenities.
3. Denver Climate Challenge which focuses on reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
