Position Title: Volunteer Site Coordinator Intern

Overall Nature and Scope of Position: The Volunteer Site Coordinator (VSC) will be a member of the HFHWM staff and will work directly with the Volunteer Development Manager and Construction staff. The VSC will interact with hundreds of volunteers during the service term to provide leadership and support of volunteers, sponsors, and partner families. He or she will specifically oversee administration and hospitality tasks on volunteer build days.

Amount of Time and Status: This is an unpaid internship from August - December. It is part time, 10-15 hours per week, 4 hours during the week in the office and Saturdays (8:00 - 4:30 am) are mandatory.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

• Greet volunteers and welcome to build day
• Ensure volunteers sign waivers and sign-in
• Help sponsor groups set up breakfast and lunch / clean-up
• Take build site photos for social media
• Deliver water, Gatorade, wet wipes, snacks to volunteers throughout the day
• Speak with volunteers about Habitat’s mission and write down contact information for sponsor and volunteer leads
• Communicate with volunteers throughout the day to ensure they are having a fun and safe build day
• Help with administrative tasks in the office once a week

• Be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Driver's license
• Personal vehicle
