The Giocosa Foundation is a non-profit child placing agency with a mission to match children with loving and nurturing families so they may form mutually satisfying and healthy relationships.

Description

Since 1988, Giocosa has remained focused on our commitment to matching foster children with loving and nurturing families. Giocosa is an inclusive agency with a diverse group of staff, foster and adoptive parents. Our staff is dedicated to developing strong relationships with our foster/adopt families to provide for the best interests of children. Giocosa trains both staff and families in a wide-range of trauma-based care to manage the unique needs of children in our care. We offer continuing education and hands-on partnerships for our families to assist in stabilizing a child's environment. This includes nurturing a child's development, offering them a secure and loving home, providing continuity in their life and helping them heal from past traumas. With offices in Round Rock, Belton, Hurst, Brownsville and Laredo, Giocosa is able to help children and families throughout the state. We are licensed by the Texas Department of Family Protective Services and also partner with Travis County Juvenile Probation Department. Giocosa serves youth ages 0 - 18 years and partners with foster parents of all ethnicities, genders and backgrounds. On average, Giocosa has approximately 400 children in foster homes throughout the state.
