Heart to Heart Hospice

Heart to Heart Hospice is looking for downriver community members to join our team of volunteers. Help to make a difference in your community by spending quality time with one of our patients. Visiting with our patients on a weekly or bi-weekly basis can increase their quality of life during their finals days. Your visits can provide friendship, compassion, and distraction from their prognosis.

Activities that clients might enjoy are being read to, watching television together, talking about who and where they’ve been, their families, hearing about your day, playing cards, and so much more. Most importantly, we are looking for volunteers to provide their time, talent, and along with compassion and empathy.

Heart to Heart serves Allen Park, Canton, Dearborn, Dearborn Heights, Northville, Redford, Southgate, Taylor, Westland, Ypsilanti and beyond. If you would like to help provide volunteer services please contact our volunteer coordinator Jessica Smoots at 734-282-0209. We look forward to partnering with you.

Making a difference by providing compassionate care from our heart to enhance the quality of life for those with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones.

Our Southgate office is looking for volunteers both in the clerical/administrative and patient visit capacities. We have a growing office with a very friendly staff and are seeking those who wish to give of themselves but are prepared to recieve far more than they give. Patient visits are completed in homes, nursing facilities, and adult foster care. We are very flexible and will work around your availability.
