Are your looking to make a difference for a small museum? Are you interested in history or the military? Like talking with people? Do you have at least 6 hours a week of time to donate? Then the Texas Military Forces Museum is for you.
We are the museum for the Texas National Guard, and we only have a staff of 3. This means we are reliant on volunteers to be our front of the house greeters. The Museum is looking for docents who can work at our front desk greeting people, helping with tours, ringing up gift shop sales and engaging our visitors.
Our greatest need right now is someone who can work on Sundays between 10 am to 4 pm. We would prefer that you can commit to at least 1-2 Sundays a month. There is no previous experience required. Minimum age is 16 years old.

Description
We are the museum for the forces of the State of Texas, which after 1903 is the Texas National Guard. We are located on Camp Mabry, the headquarters of the Texas National Guard and Texas Military Department. Our 46,000 sq foot musuem tell the story of the military forces of Texas from 1823 to the present day.
