Our nonprofit is working on a unique interactive/videogame project all about social issues and awareness and is likely the first game of its kind about a character in a wheelchair. Our philosophy is games can have a meaning, can bring positive values, promote empathy and teach about the human condition. In our story a veteran comes to terms with his physical condition through five episodes corresponding with the five stages of grieving disguised as a mystery- to find acceptance. We have models and scripts developed, but none of our team members have the particular experience or background in animation. We are looking for someone to take these assets and environments and bring them to life as we are working on a trailer that will spring our project forward.
Our entire team is working remotely and we are spread out across the US. There's "Florida" in our name, but the impact we hope for is global. We also understand, that with a volunteering position time is limited and hours are irregular and subject to change- that's why most of us interact online on their own schedule. We are looking for someone independent, motivated and organized who wants to be a part of something different and shares our interest in creating positive change through visual media by being a part of a driven team.
