We need help setting up a music festival for 600 people in a Los Angeles backyard on Thurs 8/23 and Fri 8/24 - making signs, organizing, hanging auction items, setting up backstage, as well as some heavy lifting if volunteers are able - to move backyard items out of the way to make space for the concert.
Then, on 8/25 we could use help in 3-4 hour shifts manning stations of the event - moonbounce attendants, check-in attendants, people to sell merch, people to hand out silent auction items, etc.
And, on Sunday 8/26 for 4 hours, we need a group to help us tear everything down and put backyard items back.
Our mission is to give kids and teens a voice through music. We give instruments to programs that can't afford them and started in an effort to combat teen suicide in Nantucket, MA. Now we support Compton, LA, Haiti, North Carolina, Native American reservations across the southwest, Tampa, Alaska, Australia, and Cuba. This event raises money for that.
The event itself is a 10 hour mini music festival attended mostly by film and tv industry professionals who donate and bid in our auction and pay for tickets. This year's lineup includes Flavor Flav, Tim Armstong from Rancid - in a tree, Money Mark, Mexican Institute of Sound, and our biggest acts have yet to be announced.

Description
MUSACK was founded by writer-producer Donick Cary with a simple vision, raise some dough to fund musical programs for his hometown high school on Nantucket Island. Donick organized a series of music festivals, first on Nantucket and then in LA, to pay for guitars and lessons at the high school. People really dug the festivals and soon enough other groups on ACK began asking for guitars and music programming. (And in case you wondering, ACK is what Nantucketers affectionately call the island; it’s the airport code for Nantucket.)
New programs were added - off-island field trips, cultural exchanges to explore other types of music (in Ireland!), and even a scholarship fund for talented students wanting to pursue a degree in music-related studies.
