Since 1950, Friends of the Dallas Library has raised awareness and financial support for the Dallas Public Library system. Our next community book sale is August 24-26, 2018. Volunteers meet at the J. Erik Jonsson Central Library, 1515 Young Street. Complimentary library garage parking is available on the Wood Street side of the library.
8/20/18 - 8/23/18 from 10 am - 2 pm
Setup - volunteers are needed to unbox and stage the materials for sale.
8/24/18 - 8/26/18, various times
Event day assistance - lots of different opportunities, and a great way to get involved. All positions are listed on the sign up.
8/27/18, various times
Event tear down - box unsold books, help tear down folding tables, general clean up.
We have many shifts available and are happy to work with your schedule.
Funds raised support critical library programs including GED and English Language Learner (ELL) classes, preschool storytimes, Summer Programs at our 29 library locations, library staff development, and more.
