ORGANIZATION: Services Now for Adult Persons

We have a senior client who suffers from Dementia and has 24 hour care. Her family feels she would benefit from a visitor to come once a week for about an hour to sing Jewish folk songs as she responds positively to this form of communication.

We also provide coordination of case plans, advocacy and linkages to community resources to assist our clients and to prevent premature institutionalization

Description

Services Now for Adult Persons Volunteer program is two-fold.

1. We help active senior citizens find volunteer opportunities in the community.

2. We recruit any age volunteers to assist homebound and more frail senior citizens in their every day needs. From just having tea and chatting to shoveling snow, all volunteers are so welcome and so appreciated.
