Mission Statement

Susan G. Komen's mission is simple: to save lives and end breast cancer forever. Through education, research, grants that provide financial aid and emotional assistance and advocate for better breast cancer policy, last year alone, Susan G. Komen community grants provided financial and social support for more then 50,000 families impacted by breast cancer.

Description

Komen Tulsa is part of the big picture to eradicate breast cancer. But we are also focused on the local needs of our neighbors. We are dedicated to educating residents in our 30 county service area about breast cancer and the resources available along with funding life-saving screening for our neighbors currently battling this disease. Komen Tulsa provides information to residents in our service area on the importance of early detection and breast health. We done 75% of net proceeds to vital local breast health services while dedicating the remaining 25% to the Susan G Komen Research and Training Grants Program to find cures.

Since 1997, Komen Tulsa alone has invested more then $8.5 million with more then $6 million allocated to local programs and over $2 million to national research grants.
