Great Lakes Caring and Hospice wants you!

Volunteers are needed to be a friend, make a friend. Just a few extra hours’ companionship and conversation a week can make a world of difference to an end-of-life hospice patient, and to their companion volunteers.

This program is designed to provide our patients with a friend that will listen without judging and someone that accepts each stage they are in.

This program is flexible, working around your schedule to create a relationship that benefits both patient and you!

Time is our most precious gift. Share your gift with a Hospice patient.

Time is limited, yet of eternal value. What makes it so is how you use it and to whom you give it. Share your gift of time with a patient on their end-of-life journey. No special skills are necessary, just a listening ear and an open heart. It will be some of the most rewarding time you’ll ever spend.

Elara Caring Hospice is currently looking for Volunteers: Companion Volunteers, Pet Therapy, Veteran Volunteers, Office Volunteers, and Crafting Volunteers. We have patients in need in outlying areas as well as the Grand Rapids Area. These areas include Grand Rapids, Big Rapids, Wayland/ Hastings, Greenville, Rockford, Holland, and Saugatuck/Douglas.
