Project HEAL is seeking a creative and tech-savvy volunteer to join our national marketing and communications team as our website manager. Candidates must have a knack and love for writing, a passion for Project HEAL’s mission, and a comprehensive understanding of eating disorders. The blog manager will be expected to work alongside the current manager to sustain and develop Project HEAL's voice across all blog content.
Responsibilities include:
- Make weekly updates and/or corrections to website content
- Optimize content according to SEO
- Use content management systems to analyze website traffic and users engagement metrics
Qualifications:
- A passion for Project HEAL’s mission and values
- Must be able to commit to 5-10 hours per week (for at least 1-year)
- Strong working knowledge of SquareSpace
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to work remotely
- Ability to effectively communicate information to internal and external senior executives, HEAL PR and Marketing team members, HEAL chapter team members and vendors
- An analytical mind and interest in using data to optimize/scale website marketing strategies and tactics.
- Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts.
- 2-3 years of online content creation/management experience (preferred but not necessarily required)

Project HEAL is a 501(c)3 non- profit organization that provides access to healing for all people with eating disorders.
Description
Since its founding in 2008, Project HEAL has provided over 100 applicants with access to live-saving treatment for their eating disorder, established over 30 Chapters and 25 Ambassadors bringing Project HEAL's mission and values to communities across the United States, and developed partnerships with more than 30 recognized eating disorder treatment providers across the US. The primary function of Chapters is to serve as robust local recovery communities that offer resources for those affected by eating disorders and opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of those affected by eating disorders.
We are an organization with a large volunteer base and have many volunteer opportunities available year-round. We are always looking for new people who have an interest in and passion for helping others suffering from eating disorders, poor body image, and low self-esteem.
