ORGANIZATION: Bay Cove Human Services, Inc.

Bay Cove is a non-profit organization that provides services to adults with mental health issues and developmental disabilities and we are currently looking for volunteers for our Human Rights Committee. The committee helps us monitor and review our Human Rights program through monthly meetings and visits to our programs. We have a particular need for nurses, masters level behavioral specialists and attorneys, law students or paralegals, but all who are interested are encouraged to apply.

Time Commitment:

Monthly meeting first Wednesday of the month from 6:00pm-8:00pm except July, August and September.

Monthly site visit to one of our programs. Visits are 2 hours in length.

Responsibilities:

Review Human Rights regulations, practices, policies, complaint processes and incidents of restraint use.

Bay Cove Human Services is a private, not-for-profit corporation that provides a wide variety of services to individuals and their families who face the life-long challenges of developmental disabilities, aging, mental illness and drug and alcohol addiction. We began providing effective and compassionate services in 1959 with the founding of Center Club. Bay Cove's 1,700 highly trained employees serve more than 20,000 individuals and their families each year at more than 160 different program sites throughout Greater Boston and southeastern Massachusetts.
