Getting Together Safely(GTS) provides a safe, neutral and friendly surrounding that encourages positive and comfortable interaction between non-custodial parents and children. Visits are closely monitored by Volunteers who make sure the parent stays safe and the child is comfortable. Security is on premises at all times. The center is equipped with toys and games to promote interaction and fun activities for families. Monitors are in the room with anywhere from 3-6 children belonging to 1-3 parents. They monitor the activities and conversations to make sure they are playing safely and not discussing the future. Each parent is in charge of taking care of their children, we are just there to make sure they are adhering to basic parenting ideas and discussing everyday topics.

Getting Together Safely(GTS) provides a safe, neutral and friendly surrounding that encourages positive and comfortable interaction between non-custodial parents and children. The goal of GTS is to aid families in working together to provide a happy and hopeful environment for their children.
Description
WHAT: Getting Together Safely (GTS) is here to protect the best interests of children whose parents have a custody or visitation matter within the family courts. Sometimes, based on issues of protection, safety, or familiarity, a judge will decide that in order for a child to have contact with a parent, a neutral third person must be present during any visitation.
WHEN: Visitations are scheduled for two hours on two Saturdays each month during the hours of 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. & 11:15 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.
HOW: Fill out a simple application and a background check authorization. Once we get you verified you will be added to our volunteer email list, the Monday before each scheduled GTS weekend(which are set a year in advance) we send out an email seeing who is available. If you are available for one or both sessions you let us know. No commitment required, just volunteer as you are available.
