Are you interested in the beautification of Philbrook gardens? We are growing our gardening program to include the Secret Herb garden, the Edible Teaching Garden, and the Log Cabin and we need your help! Philbrook gardening is a year-round cyclical process serving 25 acres and we are looking for individuals who are passionate about keeping our grounds weed, trash, and debris-free as well as assisting with the koi pond, seasonal planting, greenhouse propagation, and general plant and turf maintenance. Bring your gardening expertise or gain knowledge and experience while volunteering at Oklahoma's 'most beautiful' place to visit.
Year-round gardening schedule:
Volunteer Days: M,T,W,TH,F
Volunteer Times: 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
General Tasks: garden maintenance, sharpen tools, clean/organize shop, start seeds, divide plants, remove trash, propagate, transplant, fertilize, mulch, plant/seasonal change-outs mid-April through mid-May and November, lead tours, weed, deadhead, stake/tie, scout, mow, and decorate the gardens for Festival.
