Animal Care Aides enjoy learning about and caring for several different species of animals including reptiles, amphibians, insects, and fish. Must enjoy working with interesting animals!

Responsibilities include cleaning of animals' living area, preparing food and feedings, replenishing water supplies, and maintaining care logs for each animal.

We are currently looking for someone to fill our Saturday slots only. Volunteers typically work one 1.5 hour shift per week. Need to commit to at least six months. Must be comfortable caring for snakes and insects.

Our agency is located just north of Washington D.C., and was originally created to protect the stream valleys around the D.C. area. We have grown into a 34,000 acre park system with over 400 local, urban and regional parks; recreation centers; ballfields; playgrounds; nature centers, a botanic garden and over 200 miles of trails.
