The Littleton Immigrant Resources Center (LIRC) needs volunteers to tutor immigrants who want to improve their English. About the program:

Language Partners - People who want to improve their English work with volunteers. We provide curriculum and textbooks, though tutors can do supplementary activities with their partners (field trips, projects, etc.). Minimum commitment is one hour per week for at least six months.

The LIRC provides training, teaching materials, and guidance throughout your tutoring. Volunteers must attend an orientation/training session, fill out the volunteer registration form, and pass a background check to begin. Because we cannot pay for out-of-state background checks, this opportunity is for Colorado residents only.

This is a great opportunity for people looking for ESL teaching experience or for those who simply want to help our immigrant neighbors.
