We are in need of volunteers for our upcoming PBS EdCamp taking place Saturday, August 17th, at Oakland Schools Main Campus in Waterford. Volunteers will assist with set-up, registration, and clean-up. Responsibilities for each time slot will be listed.
EdCamp is a free, participant-driven, un-conference that empowers educators to maximize their professional learning experiences and build peer networks. Each session will be created by teachers, who will be asked to decide what topics they think are important to be discussed in productive conversations.
Available Slots are;
-Set up/Guides (8:00AM-12:00PM) (3 Volunteers)
Assisting in event set up as well as helping guests find the correct rooms
-Registration/Troubleshooting (8AM-12:00PM) (6 Volunteers)
-Pack up and Guides (12:00PM-4:00PM) (2 Volunteers)
Help reorganize event supplies & assist with guiding guests after lunch

WTVS Detroit Public Television is the viewer-supported PBS member station serving the nation's 11th largest television market
We operate our television services from the Riley Broadcast Center in Wixom, Michigan, named for the lead donors to our Capital Campaign, George and Dolores Riley. We operate a radio station, WRCJ 90.9 FM, in partnership with the Detroit Public Schools at the Detroit School of Arts; and a Midtown TV studio in Detroit in partnership with Wayne State University. Our High Definition production truck can go anywhere.
