Heaven on Earth Society for Animals, founded in February of 2000 by Eri Cronkhite, began with a dream and the determination to make it happen. Inspired by a goal to end the senseless suffering and destruction of homeless animals due to the overpopulation crisis, Eri developed an adoptions program for rescued strays and focused efforts on spay-neuter services.
Position Description: As an Adoption Counselor, you will be assisting the adoptions team with processing contracts and completing the adoption experience. Once the adoption team has approved an application and completed the adoption counseling, our new adopters need to be added to our online database and complete the application via Shelterluv. Clerks will work with new adopters to complete their Shelterluv profile, print contracts, photograph adopter with their new kitty, and send the adopter out the door with a smile. You will also be assisting with special projects, data entry and other tasks as needed.
Qualifications: You must be 18 years of age or older Demonstrate strong communication skills Maintain engaging, polite and patient interactions with the public Must be comfortable using a computer and navigating the simple online software Being bilingual is a plus Must be comfortable handling cats!
Time Commitment: Minimum of 5 hours of service per month which can be completed in a one-day shift or split up into two 2.5 hour shifts. Must be available to work shifts during open hours which are: Thursday & Friday 3pm-8pm and Saturday & Sunday 1pm-6pm.
