Volunteer at the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk, a powerful event to raise awareness and funds to end breast cancer. Dollars raised help the Society fund groundbreaking cancer research, provide comprehensive information and services, and fulfill our mission to save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer.

We request help from volunteers throughout the year to spread our mission through the following areas: event set-up/clean-up, event check-in, security, cheerers/greeters, passing out flyers/promotional items, recruiting runners to the event, collecting and securing donations from local businesses, and marketing the event around town!

For the day of the event, volunteers will be notified in advance of their designated parking area. Volunteers will receive a volunteer t-shirt (while supplies last). Volunteers are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes, dress in layers, lift between 20 to 25lbs, and bring sun protection. Volunteers are also asked to attend a volunteer training.
