ORGANIZATION: Tarrant Area Food Bank

Tarrant Area Food Bank (TAFB) photographers are part of a creative volunteer team that captures and edits photographic content for use by TAFB social media platforms, annual reports and other content pieces designed to tell our story locally and/or nationally.

Volunteer Duties

  • Donor Check Presentations
  • Special Events such TAFB fundraisers Empty Bowls, Gear Up to End Hunger, Hunger Action Month, etc.
  • Stock photos for Marketing
  • Client photos
  • Volunteer Recognition and employee events
  • Photograph fresh produce and prepared meals
  • Headshots
  • Upload images to Flickr within 72 hours
Availability Requirements
  • Opportunities will be provided in advance.
    • Workable deadlines will be discussed on a project-by-project basis.
  • TAFB serves 13 North Texas counties, opportunities may require gathering photos in any one of the following counties: Tarrant, Bosque, Cooke, Denton, Erath, Hamilton, Hill, Hood, Johnson, Palo Pinto, Parker, Somervell and Wise
Required Skills/Experience
  • Must submit a portfolio of his/her work, either in person or electronically.
    • Must have demonstrated photography skills.
  • Knowledge and ability to upload completed content to designated location(s).
  • Must have his/her own photography equipment.
  • Photographers are responsible for acquiring signed photo release forms from subjects.
    • TAFB will supply the release forms in person or through email.
Additional Information
  • Photographers may be asked to send a cell phone image back from an event to be used immediately on TAFB social media.
  • Must have a computer with internet access, a laptop, or tablet device.
  • Photos are property of TAFB.

Description

Tarrant Area Food Bank distributes food to more than 300 partner agencies in a thirteen county service region. In the past year, TAFB distributed over 30 million pounds of food to neighbors in need. TAFB also offers complementary programs such as nutrition education, food stamp outreach, mobile food distribution, food for children and community gardens for children and adults of our member agencies.
