The 2018 Forever Families Gala will focus on the importance of opportunities and connections for foster youth who age out (exit care without a forever family). Foster care alumni are at greater risk of outcomes such as homelessness, unemployment, incarceration, and worse; FosterAdopt Connect provides a service designed specifically to serve these youth as they transition to adulthood. Community Connections Youth Project comes alongside youth to assist with actionable plans to acquire the knowledge and resources necessary to lead a productive life, paving the way for stability and success. During the evening, guests will enjoy a cocktail hour, delectable dinner, lively auction, and gorgeous view of downtown Kansas City as they are inspired by incredible stories of dedication, perseverance, and hope.
Volunteers will help with activities such as set up, tear down, registration, operating a game, selling raffle tickets, and greeting guests. A light dinner will be provided, and you'll have the option to stay for the program.
