Sound the Alarm is Red Cross's National Signature Event to install 100,000 free smoke alarms in 40,000 homes with a goal to save more lives. Sound the Alarm occurs from April 27-May 12. At these events, Red Cross volunteers, along with fire departments, other partners and new volunteers will canvass high-risk neighborhoods, install free smoke alarms, replace batteries in existing alarms, provide home fire safety tips and help families create escape plans. If you would like to be part of a team of 3 to go out and install alarms, please contact us!
