About the Event: This is the annual convention of the Washington Council of the blind. Over 200 people who are blind and visually impaired will be attending for this weekend conference, some with guide dogs. Volunteers will serve as guides/escorts, assisting attendees through the lobby, conference areas, exhibits, the restaurant, etc. This may be providing verbal directions or offering an arm to guide someone. It may be assisting someone to find the restroom, elevator, coffee station, or an empty seat, but at no time is it to provide personal care.
