As a volunteer, you’ll introduce girls to new experiences and help them unleash their inner G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-Taker, Leader)(tm) to take the lead and change the world.

You’ll be their cheerleader, guide, and mentor, helping them develop crucial skills and confidence to launch them into a lifetime of leadership. Imagine the excitement, the memories made, and the impact-this is what you’ll share as a Girl Scout volunteer.

Volunteer opportunities with Girl Scouts are tailored to fit your calendar, your skills and your interests. Your time as a volunteer will provide the girls the safe environment they need to pursue whatever interests, causes and leadership roles that are most important to them. With your support, girls will stand up, stand out and stand tall.

Explore what being a volunteer could mean for you. We know what it means for girls. Volunteer today at www.gscb.org.

Mission Statement

Girl Scouts builds girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place.

Description

Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
