Kitten & Cat Caretakers needed at the Katy PetSmart Cat Adoption Center

We need volunteers to cover weekday and evening cat care shifts for the kittens and cats that stay at the Cat Adoption Center at the Katy I-10/Fry PetSmart and the Parkwest Katy PetSmart.

It takes about 1-2 hours to feed, scoop litter boxes, straighten up their cages and give the kitties attention too.

Times are flexible - mornings around 9 or 10 is the preferred start time.
Evenings, the preferred start time is between 5 and 7.

We ask volunteers to cover one shift per week (but if you want to do more, that's great too).
Volunteers need to be 18 or older.

We need regular, weekly volunteers for weekdays & weekends.

We need more volunteers for stand-by to help fill in for cat care when necessary during the week and to help with adoptions on the weekend any time from 9am-6pm on Saturday and 11am-5pm on Sunday.

We also need foster homes for kittens & cats while they are waiting for a spot to open at the Pet Adoption Center at both Katy PetSmarts.

Please let us know if you are available for any of the weekday or evening cat care shifts or weekend shifts or if you can provide a foster home.

Mutts and Meows Rescue is a non-profit, foster based, no kill animal rescue group. Our mission is to save the lives of as many homeless and abused pets as possible. We do this by pulling from high kill shelters in the city and placing them in loving, safe homes through our adoption events at area PetSmarts on weekends.

Description

Mutts & Meows Rescue is a non-profit animal rescue. We work closely with other rescues as well as animal control departments in the Houston area to place dogs and cats in loving, permanent homes. Our pets live with foster families, so we know them well enough to make a good match between people and pets.
