Mission Statement
The mission of Christian Health is to foster health, healing, and wellness for people of all ages in a compassionate and loving environment consistent with the Christian principles on which we were founded.
Description
Christian Health offers senior programs and residences including independent and assisted living, skilled nursing, memory and dementia care, and adult day services. Christian Health also offers inpatient and outpatient short-term rehab, including occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient mental-health services.
Volunteers at Christian Health make a difference in the lives of patients, residents, clients, consumers, and staff every day. Each year, more than 300 adults and teenagers aged 13-17 collectively provide nearly 15,000 hours of volunteer service to Christian Health. Their responsibilities are varied and extensive. Some assist with activities or work in de Snoep Winkle Gift Shop and Tea Room. Others organize fundraisers or serve on the Christian Health Board of Trustees.
Our goal is to make your volunteer experience a valuable one, while also benefiting Christian Health residents and patients. Each of us is given gifts and talents to use for the common good. Through volunteering, people give of themselves and receive satisfaction and a sense of fulfillment. Volunteering provides an opportunity to help others, meet new people, keep your mind sharp, explore health careers, and fulfill educational, school, and church community-service requirements.
