Yakima Valley Museum

  • 11 people are interested

Yakima Valley Museum is looking for volunteers to sit at the reception desk to greet visitors, accept admission fees, answer incoming calls, and accept payment for gift store purchases. This is an opportunity to mingle with Yakima Valley residents as well as interact with visitors from out of the area. We need volunteers who are able to commit to blocks of time from 2 to 7 hours on an ongoing basis.

Mission Statement

The Yakima Valley Museum conserves our stories to inspire our community, learn from our past, celebrate our present, and guide our future.

The Yakima Valley Museum offers historical displays focusing on the Yakima Valley -- its natural history, Native American culture, early pioneer life, and the roots and development of the Valley's fruit industry. The museum also has a superb collection of horse-drawn vehicles, from stagecoaches to a hearse, a historical display on former resident, Supreme Court Justice and environmentalist William O. Douglas, an interactive Children's Center, and a changing schedule of special exhibitions.

We'll work with your schedule.
