ORGANIZATION: NE Seniors for Better Livin

NE Seniors is looking for outgoing individuals to visit seniors in their home on an on-going basis! Visits relieve loneliness and help seniors remain connected to their community and are fun for then senior and volunteer alike! We pair volunteers with an older adult with similar interests to share conversation, hobbies and other social activities. We ask volunteers to visit a minimum of two times per month for at least one hour, but pairs are free to schedule more/longer visits if they would like. This is a fun, flexible opportunity that can be tailored to fit your schedule!

Mission Statement

NE Seniors for Better Living provides both professional and volunteer services to help seniors in St. Paul's Northeast neighborhoods remain in their own homes for as long as possible, and stay safe, healthy, and independent while staying socially involved in the community.

Description

North East Seniors for Better Living provides numerous outreach programs to help seniors living on Saint Paul's Eastside. We need help driving seniors to doctors and dentist appointments, and helping them with grocery shopping. We provide Luncheons three times per month that include time for those with Alzheimer's and dementia. We have a three times a week walking program, and monthly community outings.
we need volunteers who can help us to prepare meals, drive our seniors for doctors appointments and grocery shopping, help with home maintenance, lawn care, and show shoveling. This is your chance to give back to those who spent a lifetime working to build the community you get to enjoy. give back to those who gave us so much.
