Butte Elementary is committed to the goal of providing quality education for every child. To this end, we want to establish partnerships with parents and with the community. Everyone gains if school and home work together to promote high achievement by our children. Neither home nor school can do the job alone. Community volunteers play an important role as partners in the learning outcomes of our students as well as parents and families.
Description
Current research resoundingly states the benefits for student achievement when schools partner with families and the community. A recent report published by the Harvard Family Research Project , www.hfrp.org , cites that partnering with families and the community yields great benefits for students, parents, and for schools.
