Board Members are men and women who govern the organization. Ideal board members have had previous board experience and possess business skills. Must possess a strong passion for single mothers. Volunteers can include: attorneys, CPAs, small business owners, etc. Board service are 2-year commitments and board meetings are held 4 times per year. Please be advised that board service does have a financial responsibility component.

The Life of a Single Mom Ministries exists to see no single mom walking alone. We desire to equip and educate churches, nonprofits, and community organizations on how to best meet the needs of single parents in their sphere of influence. We offer training in support groups, health and wellness, financial stewardship, and parenting.

Description

The Life of a Single Mom is one of the nation's fastest-growing nonprofits committed to connecting EVERY single mother to a support group in her local church or community. We are committed to educating churches and organizations on how to effectively meet the needs of single parents beyond food and clothing, via localized support groups, conferences, and events.

To date, we have served more than 20,000 families. We have helped to launch single mom support groups in 19 countries and have received national recognition. We offer a comprehensive resource kit on single mom support groups (both for new & existing ministries), a free newsletter, consultations, training sessions, conferences, and can provide a speaker for your next event. We are supported by some of the nation's largest churches, ministries, and nonprofits.
