ORGANIZATION: The Life of a Single Mom

We are currently seeking volunteer(s) who can serve as a receptionist for the organization on a regular basis between the hours of 9am-3pm, Monday-Thursday. Duties include: answering phones, data entry, filing, running errands, and the like. Ideal candidates can serve on a consistent basis in half or whole-day increments. For example, a volunteer may consider taking receptionist duties every Monday-Thursday from 9am-12pm. (We are open to varying schedules, but are looking for consistency for training purposes).

The Life of a Single Mom Ministries exists to see no single mom walking alone. We desire to equip and educate churches, nonprofits, and community organizations on how to best meet the needs of single parents in their sphere of influence. We offer training in support groups, health and wellness, financial stewardship, and parenting.

Description

The Life of a Single Mom is one of the nation's fastest-growing nonprofits committed to connecting EVERY single mother to a support group in her local church or community. We are committed to educating churches and organizations on how to effectively meet the needs of single parents beyond food and clothing, via localized support groups, conferences, and events.

To date, we have served more than 20,000 families. We have helped to launch single mom support groups in 19 countries and have received national recognition. We offer a comprehensive resource kit on single mom support groups (both for new & existing ministries), a free newsletter, consultations, training sessions, conferences, and can provide a speaker for your next event. We are supported by some of the nation's largest churches, ministries, and nonprofits.
