The Publicity/Newsletter Intern will work with the staff and board - Exec. Dir., Marketing, Publicity - as well as members of the orchestra. Primary duties will include:
- Assisting with dissemination of marketing materials for each concert, including helping to create them
- Assessing the channels that produce the best results
- Designing the layout of the newsletter with appropriate graphics and pictures
- Soliciting ideas for content from staff and board
- Interviewing staff and board for content
- Sending the finished newsletter out to our patrons each quarter

The Waltham Philharmonic Orchestra is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to performing baroque, classical, romantic and contemproary music of the standard repertory, as well as light popular and jazz pieces. It is dedicated to meeting the cultural, educational and social needs of the citizens of the greater Waltham area.
Description
Thw Waltham Philharmonic Orchestra is a community group of volunteer musicians drawing from the Metrowest area of Boston. The group rehearses 1/wk and performs 3 regular concerts, 2 pops and 1 jazz concert each year.
