The Napa Skate Park is hosting a skating event on Sunday, August 19th for people with special needs and we are looking for members of the Napa community to get involved. There are three volunteer positions that we are looking for:

1. Event Support
2. Licensed Physical Therapists/Occupational Therapists and/or other professional support
3. Adult Skate Buddies (one-on-one skateboard mentor to child with special needs. No experience needed. If you are able to stand and push on a board, you are qualified).

Description

The Parks and Recreation Services Department provides parks, recreation programs, and the City facility maintenance. Parks and Recreation supervises the operation of the Napa Golf Course at Kennedy Park, maintains our City parks and other public spaces, processes your registrations for recreation activities and reservations for meetings and picnic faculties in our parks, among other tasks. We offer a wide array of recreation classes, programs and activities for kids, teens and adults to enjoy. Browse through our online Activity Guide, or pick one up at our parks and Recreation Administrative Office, Senior Center Activity Center and Las Flores Community Center.
