Opportunity Overview
Love farms, trail racing, or just being outdoors? Then this is the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for volunteers to assist with a short and fun trail race at Chestnut Hill Farm. Race festivities will be over by 11am giving you plenty of time to visit the farm stand as well as the goats, chickens, and bunnies.
Volunteer positions include:
Participant Check In/Finish Line Attendants
Greet participants as they arrive, check in pre-registered runners, hand out bibs, pins, timing chips, and swag. After the race begins, transform the starting line into the finish line, collect timing chips, and hand out water and snacks.
Course Marshall
Provide directions to runners at key points on the course. Standing and easy hiking are both required.
Parking Attendants
Help direct people as they enter/exit the farm.
Responsibilities
* Communicate effectively with staff and other volunteers
* Assist with set up and clean up
* Help answer questions about The Trustees
* Log volunteer hours
Qualifications
* Have excellent communication skills
* Friendly and outgoing personality
* Have reliable transportation to the properties
* Enjoy working with people
