Did you know that over 57,000 children in Utah live in poverty? That number could fill 1,611 school buses! Many of these children's families cannot afford backpacks and school supplies. The new school year is right around the corner and one of the most important times of the year in a child’s life will begin.
Salt Lake City Mission will be hosting its fourth annual "Back to School Giveaway" to benefit less fortunate children here in our own city. This event will not only provide a day of food, fun, and excitement, full of activities and prizes for families who have less reasons to smile - we will also be providing children in need with school supplies, clothing, and other essential items.

Description
Salt Lake City Mission is called to minister to families caught in the cycles of poverty, hopelessness, and dependencies of many kinds. We are committed to helping the people we serve change their lives and again become self-sufficient, productive members of society. Since 1993, we’ve provide necessities such as food, clothing, hygiene items, rehabilitation and outreach programs to the working poor and homeless.
