The Betty Allen Gynecologic Cancer Foundation is currently looking for volunteers that can work various health fairs for us throughout Lee & Collier Counties. These particular health fairs are scheduled through Healthy Living Caravan. Once we find out that a particular residential community has chosen our organization to participate we can let you know. Approximately a 2 - 3 week notice. You will be provided with all the materials and will be trained before going out on your own.
The health fairs are typically Monday - Friday. Usually anywhere from 2 - 4 hours. Occasionally there are Saturday health fairs.
We are also looking for volunteers interested in being trained to do our workshops. For more information on those, please call me directly @ 239-466-4567.

Description
The Betty Allen Ovarian Cancer Foundation was founded on February 14, 2011 in honor of my mother Betty Allen, a 10-year survivor of ovarian cancer. After I witnessed my mother’s courageous battle, I knew I had to do something to help raise awareness.
Our foundation is very concerned that most women lack the knowledge about the symptoms and risk factors of the five gynecologic cancers, and believe that their yearly Pap smear detects all gynecologic cancers. The Pap test only detects cervical cancer.
In May 2016, our board members reorganized the foundation to focus on all the gynecologic cancers in support of YOU! The foundation is now known as the Betty Allen Gynecologic Cancer Foundation.
