C+ class

Are you interested in mentoring and making a difference but aren't sure about the time commitment or what you would talk about with a youth? Then Careers Plus Group Mentoring might be your perfect fit! Mentors are matched with a group of 4 high school aged students. Mentors and students meet for one hour, once a week, as part of the students' regularly scheduled class. A Goodwill facilitator gives a brief lesson related to careers followed by an activity that mentors and students complete together.

What do students get out of it? This model gives students an opportunity to practice interacting professionally with each other and their mentor, while developing a mentoring relationship with a caring adult and their future career knowledge and skills.

What do mentors get out of it? Mentors have a chance to make an impact on a small group of youth in just one hour a week. All mentoring takes place within the school environment during a set time and lessons are provided, so you never need to figure out what to do with your mentee. You receive a Goodwill staff person who is always at the school with you and available to answer any concerns or questions you may have immediately. You can make a difference!
