The National MS Society is hosting our 32nd Annual Bike MS: Atlanta Peach Ride in downtown LaGrange, GA! We are so excited to have Wild Leap Brew Co. hosting us this year as our Festival Site.

This two day ride will take place on October 10 & 11. We expect over 500 cyclists for this year’s event and we rely on our volunteers each year to unsure that events like these are a success!

First time volunteering with the National MS Society? Here is what to expect A GREAT TIME! Did you know we have volunteer swag? Yes, that is correct our volunteers need to be seen and heard so we make it possible. We have endless supplies of t-shirts, pom poms, noise-makers, snacks, water, etc.

Volunteers are the helping hands that make the event possible! When you join the Bike MS Volunteer Team, you become a part of Bike MS. Together we will provide support, raise money, have fun, and make a difference in the lives of people living with MS.

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

  • Bike Storage Check-in/out
  • Festival Area Support/Floaters
  • Food & Hydration Areas on Festival Site
  • Join the Movement Tent (Mission & Concierge)
  • Massage Therapist (must be licensed or overseen by a teacher)
  • Medical Team (must be CPR & First Aid Certified)
  • Motorcycle Marshals (Requires motorcycle driving license, proof of insurance & safety training)
  • HAM Radio - Net Control/Communications
  • Photography/Videography (requires use of personal camera)
  • Registration Team
  • Rest Stops **TIMING WILL VARY DEPENDING ON REST STOP ASSIGNMENT**
  • Safety & Gear Driver "SAG" (Requires driver’s license, proof of insurance & safety training)
  • Spirit Crew
  • Supply Truck/Cargo Van Driver (Requires driver’s license, proof of insurance & safety training, prefer drivers with commercial licenses)
  • Volunteer Check-in

The mission of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is to mobilize people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS.

Description

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society funds more MS research, offers more services to people with MS, provides more professional education programs and advances more MS advocacy efforts than any other MS organization in the world. Through its home office and fifty-state network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

Seeking out and engaging volunteers to the MS cause is at the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers three key fundraising activities: The Bike MS, Walk MS and Challenge Walk MS. The Society also engages volunteers to help influence law-makers at the federal, state and municipal levels toward legislation important to people with MS. The Society is looking for passionate volunteers with expertise in areas such as: marketing communications, public relations, corporate and donor development, medical, legal, administrative and organizational expertise.
