ORGANIZATION: ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

At St. Jude Children's Research Hospital families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food so all they have to worry about is helping their child live. Our community walk will help raise money to support the hospital. It costs $2.2m a day to run the hospital, so donations are important to keeping the doors open.

We are looking for volunteers to help us execute the Fort Worth St. Jude Walk/Run on September 21st at Panther Island Pavilion. Large groups of 10+ are preferred, but small groups are welcome too.

Positions include:

  • Pre-event set up -- September 20th, 10am-3pm
During event:
  • Registration Tent-training in mid September, must attend
  • Accounting Room - banking experience preferred- training @end of August, must attend
  • setup/breakdown - 2 hour shifts before/after event
  • staffing hospitality tent and maintaining food/cleanliness
  • Greeting and providing assistance to guests
  • Directing guest to the event
  • Course Monitors
  • Water Stop Volunteers
  • Event Site Cleanup

Community service credit will be given for students. A letter will be provided to those that can receive a corporate donation to St. Jude for volunteer hours. All will be given once you complete your day of volunteering.
