United Way of Santa Barbara County invites you to volunteer for our 27th annual Day of Caring event on Saturday, September 15th from 9:00am- 1:00pm! Don’t miss the opportunity to give back to your community; your efforts will help to significantly enhance the lives of local people and organizations in need. Volunteer for the largest single-day volunteer event in the Tri-Counties!

Volunteer as a team, family, individual, workplace, etc..
As a volunteer you will make a difference by helping local organizations with various projects such as: beautifying, painting, gardening, cleaning and more. Sign up as an individual, family, team or workplace!

We invite all volunteers to attend the Day of Caring FREE Thank You Lunch that will be hosted from 12:00pm-1:00pm at Oak Park: W Alamar Ave & W Junipero St, Santa Barbara, CA 93105.

Description

Through funding, volunteer development, and leveraging dozens of local non-profit and public sector agencies, and directing our own unique multi-agency initiatives such as Fun in the Sun (a summer academic and behavior enrichment program for poverty-level and homeless children and their families), UWSBC seeks to create lasting, meaningful solutions rather than short-lived approaches to community problems.

Through strategic planning and community involvement, UWSBC's core values have been specifically articulated. These core values are the center of our organization as we seek to serve this community to the best of our ability.

UWSBC is focused on developing four key areas: successful children and teens, strong families, vital and independent seniors, and a better community. Multiplying impact; appreciating and growing the commitment of volunteers, providers and donors; accomplishing measurable long term results with and through partners is our message and value.
