ORGANIZATION: Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) - Greater Clarksville Chapter

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Is making a difference in your community important to you? Do you want children to know Jesus? If you’re organized and comfortable with a computer it's not too late to join an interdenominational Good News [Bible] Club team as an Administrative Assistant, serving one afternoon a week in a local public elementary or middle school.

Why do Bible clubs in the schools?
Because MOST children today don’t get to go to church. Good News Clubs bring Jesus to the Children.

Administrative Assistants serve by coordinating club paperwork for children’s safety (registration, children’s information, dismissal forms, etc.) Admin Assistant may add on a teaching role if desired, but it isn’t expected. Opportunities available in Montgomery, Cheatham, Dickson, Stewart and surrounding counties, as well as on Fort Campbell. Clubs meet immediately after school lets out, one afternoon a week for ~2 hours. CEF trains, equips, and supports Christians, so they have all the tools needed to share Jesus with children.

Mission Statement

We are the local chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), the world's largest evangelical children's organization! We are an interdenominational ministry that trains, equips and supports Christians to go on-mission to share Jesus with children who otherwise may not learn about Him. We support Cheatham, Dickson, Houston, Humphreys, Montgomery, Robertson and Stewart Counties, as well as Fort Campbell Army post. Our goals are to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel, disciple them in God's Word and establish unchurched children and their families into Bible-teaching churches.

Description

We train, equip and support Christians to go on-mission to evangelize and disciple children in Good News Clubs (elementary) and JYC (middle school) clubs.

CEF team members receive:

  • Training from seasoned CEF staff utilizing time-tested materials and methods of Child Evangelism Fellowship.

  • Ongoing training, equipping and support, all at no expense to the volunteers or sponsoring churches.
  • Prayer and encouragement as part of our ongoing support for individual missionaries and teams.

Making an eternal difference in our community for Jesus Christ requires no specialized talent, no money and no out of town travel ... only a Christ-follower with a love for the Lord, a willingness to be obedient and a few hours a week time commitment.
